1. General Terms and Conditions
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTCS) govern the contractual relationship between Château d’Urspelt SA and its Clients, covering all orders for products, services, and reservations made via www.chateau-urspelt.lu, by phone or email. Any order or booking implies full and complete acceptance of the GTCS, which take precedence over any other document or the Client’s own terms.
The GTCS may be unilaterally amended by Château d’Urspelt SA, and changes take effect upon publication on the website. Any resale of products or services without prior authorisation is strictly prohibited.
2. Client Declarations and Commitments
Services are only available to adults or minors aged 16 or older with legal capacity to accept the GTCS. The Client certifies the accuracy of the information provided and accepts responsibility for any order placed, ensuring they act on their own behalf or for the beneficiaries. Château d’Urspelt SA reserves the right to refuse an order in case of incorrect information or fraudulent use of the website.
3. Distance Selling of Products and Services
3.1 Products and Services
Descriptions and prices of available products and services are listed on www.chateau-urspelt.lu.
3.2 Placing an Order
All personalised orders imply acceptance of the GTCS and current pricing terms. Orders are confirmed upon receipt of written confirmation from the Château, forming the sales contract. Any errors in the provided information must be immediately reported by the Client.
3.3 Delivery Terms
Digital products or services (e.g., gift vouchers) are delivered after full payment. Château d’Urspelt SA disclaims any liability for delays caused by third-party delivery services.
3.4 Pricing and Payment
Prices are in euros including VAT and may be changed without prior notice, except for already confirmed orders. Full payment is required at the time of order.
3.5 Cancellation Policy
Appointments (e.g., spa treatments) can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours in advance. After this period, the full amount will be charged.
4. Hotel Stay Booking
4.1 Booking Conditions
A hotel stay booking is confirmed upon provision of required information and a credit card as guarantee. Prices include applicable VAT; any changes in the rate will be automatically applied.
4.2 Cancellation Conditions
Individual bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the expected arrival. In case of late cancellation or no-show, one night will be charged.
Refund of a prepaid amount: please note that a fixed fee of €25.00 will be deducted from the refunded amount.
4.3 Stay Conditions
Check-in is available from 1 or 3 PM depending on the room category; rooms must be vacated by 11 AM. Early departures or late check-outs may incur additional fees.
4.4 House Rules
Smoking, cooking, or causing disturbances is prohibited. The Client is responsible for any damage caused during their stay and must compensate Château d’Urspelt SA accordingly.
5. Right of Withdrawal
According to European law, the Client has a 14-day withdrawal period for distance purchases, excluding hotel stays. Withdrawal must be notified in writing to Château d’Urspelt SA. A refund will be issued within 14 days of the request.
6. Liability and Force Majeure
Château d’Urspelt SA shall not be held responsible for delays or failures caused by force majeure, or acts attributable to the Client or third parties. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure, alternative accommodation of equivalent standard may be offered, subject to the Client’s agreement.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on www.chateau-urspelt.lu is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced in full or in part without express permission.
8. Disputes and Applicable Law
Contractual relationships are governed by Luxembourg law. Any disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Luxembourg courts, unless otherwise provided.
9. Personal Data Protection
Château d’Urspelt SA processes personal data in accordance with GDPR. Data is used solely to provide services and is accessible only to authorised staff. The Client has the right to access, modify, or delete their data by contacting Château d’Urspelt SA.
10. Legal Jurisdiction
In case of a dispute and failing an amicable resolution, Luxembourg law shall apply, and only the courts of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg shall have jurisdiction.
The establishment reserves the right to change its rates and terms at any time.

11. Pets
We are pleased to welcome you and your dog as our guest at the Château d’Urspelt. As a service to you we have outlined a few simple We are pleased to welcome you and your dog to Château d’Urspelt. As a service, we present a few simple guidelines to ensure your dog’s safety and that of our other guests during your stay:
• The hotel welcomes dogs in rooms provided they weigh less than 10 kg and are well-behaved.
• A charge of €25.00 per dog, per night, will be added to your room bill.
• On request, we are happy to provide a dog bed and/or bowl at no extra cost.
• Your dog must be kept on a short leash at all times within the hotel.
• You must appropriately secure your dog and ensure it complies with local laws.
• To comply with health and safety regulations, dogs are not allowed in dining areas, except in the U-Lounge bar of the Château.
• Do not leave your dog unattended in your room. Château d’Urspelt staff are not permitted to enter the room to perform their duties without your presence.
You are responsible for any damage or injury caused by your dog. You also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the hotel, its owners, and operators from any claims related to your dog’s presence.
The hotel reserves the right to charge your account for any costs associated with such damages. A valid credit card must be presented at check-in as part of the registration and pre-authorisation process.
The room will be inspected by our housekeeping staff at check-out. Should any charges be applied to your account, you agree not to dispute them with your credit card company. These policies are in place to protect both parties and are not a reflection of our desire to welcome you and your dog.
